Join us at Xinalani Retreat Center
Nestled between a white-sand beach and the mountains, on a 10-acre property only accessible by boat, resides the eco-chic retreat center called Xinalani. Despite being only 12 miles south of Puerta Vallarta (making for easy travel to and from), Xinalani feels like it’s own island. Picture a completely secluded beachfront cliff property settled in amongst the trees of the jungle. But don’t let the seclusion fool you—- Xinalani is a well-equipped, impeccably built, pristine property boasting 2 open-air yoga spaces, a meditation cabin, 15 oceanfront suites and an exquisite spa. The creators of Xinalani took great care not to disturb the remarkable biodiversity of Banderas Bay. You will be snuggled in and atop trees in palm-thatched cabins with private outdoor showers. Gourmet chefs, utilizing the abundance of local produce and seafood, prepare each meal. Xinalani is bliss embodied and you will leave feeling rejuvenated, refreshed and ready for spring.
Each day will include 2 yoga practices and plenty of time to bask on the beach, surf, swim with dolphins, get a massage, take a hike or anything else your heart desires.

Your Teachers:
Ame Wren is one of Boston's most popular, sought after teachers. This will be Ame's 6th retreat at Xinalani and every year the staff and facilities leaving her feeling renewed after the grueling Boston winter. Her bio is below but you can also check out her website: www.amewren.com
Known for her lighthearted but highly specific approach to the yoga practice, Ame has become a go-to teacher for those seeking knowledge and guidance on everything from the mysteries of triangle pose to rising above the riffs of modern-day competitive culture. She is the founder and director of Boston Yoga School, a training program that offers exceptional yoga programs in Boston, Cape Cod, Maine and upstate New York. A dedicated student of both Iyengar and Ashtanga styles of yoga, Ame prides herself on being a devoted seeker and aims to inspire others to stay on the path of yoga, and of teaching.
Ame has been a featured teacher in Yoga Journal, at Wanderlust Festival and was awarded the honor of “Best of Boston” in 2010. She travels extensively leading retreats, trainings and workshops all over the world. In addition to her yoga studies she also holds a BA in Philosophy & Religion and an MA in Cultural Studies.
Ame and Alex’s friendship began one night over a long dinner and lots of wine. This will be there first retreat together and they are thrilled to escape the treacherous New England winter and spend a week co-teaching and canoodling. Given their shared love of asana nitty-gritty, anatomical musings, philosophy shop-talking and margaritas, this is sure to be a week that will expand your understandings of yoga.
