Lara is one of my all time favorite pre and postnatal teachers. She has a way of explaining and accessing the nuances of the pelvis and the pelvic floor that is uncanny. Her touch is one of the most tender & informative that I have known. She will be coming in from NY to share all her useful information with us. I highly recommend this class.
The workshop will begin with some basic anatomy and physiology of the The pelvis and pelvic floor, followed by specific exercises to deepen awareness of the structure and function of the pelvic floor. Through a movement based approach using non invasive exercises, learn to enhance the health and function of the pelvic floor.
Using imagery, movement, breath and postural work to deepen awareness you will experience how to relax, tone and strengthen this region and integrate these practices into work on the body as whole. We will also learn how those muscles are influenced by posture and how the abs and pelvic floor can work together in improving core power.
This holistic approach will allow you to incorporate these practices into full body movement, your yoga practice, and your daily life.
This class will include physical practice as well as discussion.

Movement
Movement is the key, the inspiration, the ultimate joy.
Moving, watching others move, helping others move.
Understanding the how, why, with what.
Since as far as I can remember.
Movement as a spiritual practice. As a way to be both grounded and connected. To accompany and serve.
Through daily practice, find creativity and renewal. To feel oneself alive.
To accompany, bear witness and be of support.
